“Lika Bibileishvili (…) unfolds her debut in heterogeneous timbres. It’s always about touching, flowing harmony. “
Manfred Kaiser – Edition KulturLand
Intense debut
Concert by Lika Bibileishvili in the Kupferhaus was published by FARAO
(mk) The concert of pianist Lika Bibileishvili, recorded at the Kupferhaus Planegg in July of last year, recently appeared as a debut with FARAO. The recording is, like the program, in its virtuosity of great sensitivity. Lika Bibileishvili succeeds in concentrating on the sixth piano sonata by Sergei Prokofiev and the Sonata for Piano by Béla Bartók. Perlend the piano pieces by Jean Sibelius and rich in intense intonation Gaspard de la Nuit by Maurice Ravel.
Wilfried Hiller once spoke of a “gem among the pianists of the younger generation,” and indeed, the play of Lika Bibileishvili shines through an equally powerful and subtle brilliance. Lika Bibileishvili – born in Georgia in 1988 with studies in Munich and masterclasses with Eliseo Virssaladze, Ruvim Ostrovsky, Naum Shtarkman and Dimitri Bashkirov – unfolds her debut in heterogeneous timbres. It is always of touching, flowing harmony.
